About this series: These paintings draw inspiration from the urban textures found in New York City, much like those I incorporate into my "Subway Sonnets" as well as my history of 20 years in the NYC fashion industry.

Largely inspired from the 1980s NYC, the work mirrors the transformation of once pristine subway station posters as they evolved under the mark-making and graffiti of passerby or the vibrant endorsements of local band stickers and spray paint. This series is an artistic testament to the enduring allure of beauty amidst time, encouraging one to unearth hidden beauty in shape, form color and placement.

Within these compelling stories, themes of female empowerment and elevation reign supreme, as they have in many of my previous creations. There is the emergence of bold women, empowering words that echo inner strength and timeless beauty.
